Voice of the Eagle
I am he whose hearts and deeds soar high above the crowd. I am he whose sharp eyes glint with the knowledge that abounds. I am he whose love of flight drives closest to the sun. I am he whose screaming cry is heard by all below. I am he who has reached the height of scoutings prizes ideals. I am he who has come so far and will continue further still. I am the Voice of the Eagle.
Spirit of the Arrow
I am he whose joy is found in easing others' burdens. I am he who sets the pace in leading others in service. I am he who is first to do what others may disdain. I am he whose greatest goal is to aid in other's achievement. I am he who has found the beauty in a life of cheerful service. I am he who wears the sash and has taken on its purpose. I am the Spirit of the Arrow.
Meteu
Knowledge gained and honor earned have brought us together. Mountains tall and rivers wide no longer stand between us. Long ago you followed me on a path of cheerful service. I have always felt your presence behind me on the trail. But, my friend, look ye back on the trail you've left behind, for I am not the only one being followed.
Other men with similar deeds lag not long behind. They are also in need of you. We remember long ago the lessons taught to you. Those same lessons must now be taught to someone who follows you. The bright eyed scoutwith eager mind awaits your knowledge and skill. Someday he will be a man who may do great tings. He may be a Mayor, or President, or maybe even a Scoutmaster. Surely he will be a man, but we know not what he will do. The one thing we can be sure of, he can't do it without you.
The brigt eyed scout with eager mind sits reaching out to you. Help him now as I helped you then and your heart will be ever true.
East Wind
I am the spirit of the East Wind. I represent the common law, your duty to God and country. Trustworthy, loyal and helpful are the qualities which a man must possess who lives by the laws of this land. See that we do not lose this great blessing of a lawful land.
West Wind
As the Spirit of the West wind, I represent the law of equity, your duty to country and others, friendly, courteous and kind are the laws that breathe of conscience. They create the atmosphere that comes from within your heart. The desire for you to always be a friend to those of all ages, young and old alike. Courteous to those who pass along your trail. Cast away the harmful sprit of unfriendliness and selfishness, by practicing in your daily life the law of equity: Friendly, Courteous, Kind.
South Wind
I am the spirit of the South wind. I represent the civil law, your duty to others and self. Obedient, cheerful and thrifty are the characteristics of civility. A life of cheerful obedience is necessary for the development of a true citizen. Obedience is something everyone has to learn... to take orders and carry them out cheerfully. Real thrift means earning, spending wisely, and saving, and to share with those less fortunate.
North Wind
I am the spirit of the North Wind, the most powerful of all. I represent the Divine law: Brave, Clean, and Reverent. To be brave is to be unselfish. To be clean in body and soul is to be pure in heart. Case from your mind and body any evil spirit that tries to weaken of destroy the divine law, live a life of reverence. Be brave and clean.
